David Faulkner
David Faulkner helps Ingram Micro's customers to design working server and storage solutions to meet their business problems. It is a role which requires a deep technical understanding of IBM and HP Enterprise servers & storage, with the ability to transfer that knowledge into a pragmatic solution.
Dave also work very closely with the Business Development Managers and Sales Assistants to make sure that Ingram Micro's customers receive all the support they require - and then some. Dave also gets involved with visiting the end-users to ensure that our customers can deliver even greater value to their customers.
As you would expect, Dave has multiple vendor certifications for HP and IBM and was fortunate to participate in the IBM Solution Architects Tour (USA, 2008). Dave studied IT/Programming at Massey University and experienced with .NET, Python, PHP and in deploying Linux/Windows servers.
His main areas of expertise revolve around VMware, Red Hat, Microsoft SQL & Exchange, DR, HA, Blade and SAN based solutions. He also engages in Data-centre design (racking, power and some networking) including HP-UX and storage virtualisation solutions.
